A hindu temple is a place of worship for Hindus and is constructed as per vedic rituals. A temple can be dedicated to a specific bhagvan like Shiv, Vishnu, Kartikeya or devi like Kali mata, Jagdamba mata, Meenakshi, etc. Different deities can also be worshipped in a temple complex, as all are considered as different forms of one energy i.e. Parmatma. Specific mantra chanting in samskrit is performed during the worship rituals by a pujari.
Hindus visit temples everyday in morning and evening pujas. Specific rituals are carried out on various auspicious occasions, celebrated as festivals, like Deepawali, Holi, Pongal, Onam etc. A hindu temple is a place full of positive energy bringing inner peace in a human being. Thousands of years old temple are still present in Bharat (India) as a testament to cultural and traditional richness. A temple complex is not only a spiritual place, rather it acts as a great economic centre where certain temple specific jobs are created and it also acts as an education centre where next generation learn about their culture and traditions.
